Manchester United Beats Wolves

MANCHESTER United opened their 2023-24 Premier League campaign with a 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers thanks to Raphael Varane’s header goal at Old Trafford, Tuesday (15/8) early morning Western Indonesian Time.

Wolves, who were left by coach Julen Lopetegui less than a week before the English Premier League rolled on, appeared dominant at home to Manchester United.

However, poor finishing and the slick appearance of Red Devils goalkeeper Andre Onana made Wolves fail to score and Manchester United even won through Varane’s goal, 14 minutes from the end of the game.

Manchester United also started the 2023-24 season with a different win from the start of last season when Erik ten Hag’s boys started the season with two defeats. However, the Red Devils’ form has raised questions over whether they can challenge for their first Premier League title in a decade.

Manchester United fans hoping to start the season with a new owner have had to be disappointed as the sales process has stalled. The home fans also showed their distaste for the Red Devils owners, the Glazers, by holding a pre-match protest by chanting, ‘We want the Glazers out’.

In the game against Wolves, Onana and midfielder Mason Mount made their debuts for Manchester United but Rasmus Hojlund missed out through injury.
